Web site: Seattle top trick-or-treat city

SEATTLE, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A Washington state real estate Web site named Seattle the top U.S. city for trick-or-treating, with San Francisco close behind.

Zillow.com said its second annual Zillow Trick-or-Treat Housing Index, which estimates the amount of candy likely to be brought home by trick-or-treaters, found Seattle was the city with the best hauls, followed by San Francisco, Portland, Ore., San Jose, Calif., and Denver.

The Web site said it created its list using data including the Zillow Home Value Index, local population densities and local crime data.

"In honor of Halloween, we wanted to put Zillow's real estate data to work in a more fun, lighthearted way," the Web site said in a release.

The site said it is now working to create neighborhood-by-neighborhood breakdowns of trick-or-treating hotspots in each of the top cities.
