Man accidentally shoots self at gun show

KUNMING, China, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Officials at a Chinese zoo said six protected deer were killed by a group of four dogs apparently helped into the facility by humans.
Tang Yangchun, head of the Yunnan Wildlife Zoo animal management department, said the dogs killed four spotted deer and two fallow deer Monday and they also injured two deer and an emu, Xinhua, China's state-run news agency, reported Friday.
Tang said the dogs, which appeared well-fed and trained to corner and kill animals, were apparently let into the park by humans.
"The gates were guarded round the clock. And the dogs couldn't have climbed over the 2.5-meter (8.2-foot) zoo fence by themselves," he said.
The official said the dogs were captured or killed by zoo workers.
