CHICAGO, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Police in suburban Chicago said they arrested two people believed to be involved with a series of exotic-bird thefts at area pet stores.

The man, whose name was not released, and Rebecca Cozzi, 40, were detained Wednesday along with another man and woman, who are being questioned in the case, when a manager at the Petland store in Wheaton recognized them from released security camera footage from a Tuesday robbery at a Petland in Naperville, the Naperville (Ill.) Sun reported Thursday.

The manager said the four people were wearing the same clothes as the suspects in the surveillance footage from the Naperville theft, which involved the theft of a 6-month-old, rose-breasted Australian cockatoo.

Police said the suspects also allegedly stole a White Belly Caique and a Green Cheek Conures, each valued at $1,650, Tuesday from Bird is the Word in Batavia and a Blue Quaker Parrot from a Petland store Monday in Bolingbrook.

Investigators located the stolen birds at Cozzi's home in Berwyn, the Chicago Tribune reported.
