The North Carolina Department of Transportation said the sign on Interstate 277 in Charlotte was misprinted by the manufacturer and will be replaced without taxpayer dollars, WCNC-TV, Charlotte, reported Wednesday. Advertisement Officials said Tuesday they were planning a temporary fix until they obtain the replacement for the sign, which is visible on eastbound I-277 near Independence Boulevard.
