Man learns casino losses not deductible

NEW YORK, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Police in New York said they do not know the origin of a 2-foot-long crocodile found hiding under a car in the city.
James Duffy, a spokesman for the New York Police Department, said the baby gator was found in the Queens borough shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday, the New York Daily News reported Monday.
"Before you ask, no cops could confirm it came out of the sewer," Duffy said.
He said the crocodile may have been an escaped or released pet but
"no one's come forward and said, 'Hey, I lost a crocodile.'"
The reptile was turned over to Animal Care & Control officers, who said they are planning to take it to a wildlife sanctuary.
