AMBON, Indonesia, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Indonesian officials said a food event in Maluku province set a world record by simultaneously serving 2,010 fish dishes containing 30 kinds of fish.

Officials said the record was set at the National Makan Patita communal food feast using only fish caught in Maluku waters, the Antara news agency reported Monday.

"The National Makan Patita feast with 2,010 fish recipes, organized by the Ambon City Family Welfare Movement in coordination with its district chapters, has broken not only the national record but also the world`s," said Paulus Pangka of the Indonesian Museum of Records.

"Previously we also grilled fishes that formed a 5.3-kilometer (3.3- mile) long line, or the longest record with only one kind of fish, but this time we (served) 2,010 recipes from 30 kinds of fish," Pangka said.
