GLOUCESTER, Mass., July 19 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts lobster wholesaler said he took video of the first triple-pincher clawed lobster he has ever encountered.
Joey Ciaramitaro of Gloucester said he encountered the unusual crustacean Saturday at his company, Captain Joe & Sons, and took video pictures of the creature, which has three pincers on one of its claws, for the blog GoodMorningGloucester.wordpress.com, the Boston Herald reported Monday.
"We've had blue lobsters before, half-albino lobsters before. It's the first triple-pincer I've ever seen," Ciaramitaro said.
Ciaramitaro said the lobster, nicknamed "Claws," was shipped alongside his more normally clawed brethren.
"He could be at a restaurant. He could be in somebody's pot," he said. "Our lobsters come in and go out the same day. Get 'em in, get 'em out, get paid. That's our motto."
