NEW YORK, July 13 (UPI) -- New York police said a geriatric robber with a cane and an oxygen tank fired three shots at a clothing store before fleeing empty handed.

Police sources told the New York Post the man, believed to be in his 70s, announced a stickup at 9 p.m. Friday at high-end clothing store Sarar and fired off a round at a fleeing customer.

The man also fired off two rounds at the manager, but none of the bullets hit anyone, the sources said. They said one of the bullets tore through eight suits and came to rest in the jacket pocket of the ninth.

"You want one? You want another one?" the sources quoted the man as saying while shooting at the manager.

The suspect fled in a black Cadillac, police said.
