ATLANTA, July 8 (UPI) -- Police in Atlanta said a 75-year-old woman who drove her car through the front of a liquor store told officers it was the second time she had done so.

Investigators said Constance Chapman, 75, drove her Mazda Miata through the front window of Green's store at about 3:15 p.m. Monday, shattering 1,500 bottles of alcohol, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.

Chapman said her brakes went out while she was trying to park in front of the store. She told police the incident marked the second time she had crashed her vehicle into Green's.

Green's employee Jenetha Gardiner was pinned between the broken window and shelf, and suffered head trauma from a falling liquor bottle. She was taken to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
