The boy, who first started playing the monster battling video game 3 years ago, received a Nintendo Wii console, a Nintendo DSi handheld and airfare for him to attend the world championships with a parent.

Stanley will compete next month to potentially win a trophy, customized Pokemon merchandise, an offer to defend his title next year and a trip for four to Tokyo, New York or the Hawaiian island of Oahu.
