MANGUM, Okla., June 30 (UPI) -- An Oklahoma sheriff says his jail's new pink jumpsuits are designed in part to serve as an incentive to stay out of the county jail.

Greer County Sheriff Devin Huckabay said he decided to purchase the pink jumpsuits, which bear the words "Greer County" on the back, after the jail's old orange jumpsuits became tattered and supply dwindled, The Lawton (Okla.) Constitution reported Wednesday.

"The guys don't like wearing them," Huckabay said. "They don't like getting in front of the other inmates wearing pink jump suits. But while they're in the jump suits they're hard to miss."

He said the 50 new jumpsuits cost a total of about $850.
