WEATHERFORD, Texas, June 29 (UPI) -- Police in Texas say a man with a cast on his left arm and walking with a crutch held a handgun in his good arm to rob a pharmacy of narcotic painkillers.

Weatherford police said the robber, who also wore bandages on his head and had the arm bearing the cast in a sling, pointed a handgun at the Walgreens pharmacy worker about 2:30 a.m. Monday and demanded Oxycontin, the Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram reported Tuesday.

Wendy Field, a Weatherford police spokeswoman, said the suspect fled on foot with a large amount of the pills. She said investigators believe the man was not really injured.
