LARGO, Fla., June 29 (UPI) -- Florida police said two brothers were arrested for allegedly using guitars to attack their roommate because they thought he was stealing food.

Largo police said Kevin Lambert, 24, and Dustin Lambert, 19, became angry with roommate William Reaume at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday because Dustin Lambert believed Reaume to be "cooking his food," the St. Petersburg Times reported Tuesday.

Police said the brothers used their fists, an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar to hit Reaume for about 10 to 15 minutes until he managed to escape and call police from a neighbor's home.

Reaume incurred injuries to his face, head and back during the attack, police said. It was unclear whether he required medical attention.

The Lamberts were charged with aggravated battery, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness and burglary with assault or battery. They were each booked into the Pinellas County Jail with bail set at $70,000.
