Most expensive model car costs $3 million

LIVERPOOL, England, June 18 (UPI) -- British and Swiss designers say they teamed to create the world's most expensive model car, a $3 million replica of a Bugatti Veyron.

The Bugatti Veyron Diamond Limited Edition, which is partially made from 24-carat gold, platinum and diamonds, was created by Liverpool, England, designer Stuart Hughes and Swiss model-car maker Robert Gulpen, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

The designers said they are only making three of the models, which are each worth more than two full-size Bugatti Veyrons.

The model features fully working doors, steering and hood with a tiny version of the 16-cylinder "W" engine inside.
