Police: Grandma involved in burglary spree

WAREHAM, Mass., June 8 (UPI) -- Police in Massachusetts said a gang of alleged burglars accused of taking more than $9,000 worth of items includes a grandmother and her grandson.

Investigators said Lee Pires, 57, of Onset, her grandson Adrian Martin, 21, of Onset, and his friend Timothy Morrison, 19, of Wareham, allegedly stole $9,000 worth of jewelry, cash and electronics during a three-day burglary spree in Wareham, the Boston Globe reported.

Police said they identified the three suspects after an investigation and Martin was arrested after police followed the vehicle believed to be involved in the break-ins to a computer repair store. Pires and Morrison were arrested at the store.

Investigators said they have recovered about 95 percent of the stolen items and returned them to the victims.

The suspects were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
