BICESTER, England, June 7 (UPI) -- A 54-year-old British woman, who spent $4,300 for fertility treatment in the Czech Republic, said she gave birth to twins.
Karen Johnston of Bicester, England, gave birth to daughter Imogen and son Asa March 12 and the 13-week premature twins came home from the hospital Sunday, the Daily Mail reported Monday.
Johnson, who has eight previous children ranging in age from 33 to 2, with husband Roger Johnston, 55, traveled to the Czech Republic and conceived the twins with a donated egg and her husband's sperm. She said she visited the same clinic in 2007 to conceive her daughter, Willow.
"When I was told I could finally bring Imogen and Asa home I was overjoyed," the mother-of-10 said. "The past three months have passed in a blur of emotions and anxiety."
