127 mph motorcyclist faces 10 charges

DELHI, Ontario, June 7 (UPI) -- Canadian police said a man who allegedly rode his motorcycle 127 mph in a 60 mph zone is facing 10 charges, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Ontario Provincial Police Constable Blaine Hickey said a patrol plane spotted Keith Corbett, 35, of Delhi, Ontario, traveling 127 mph on Hwy. 403 after 1 p.m. Sunday, The Toronto Star reported Monday.

Hickey said Corbett tried to hide his motorcycle before police cruisers arrived.

"When he thought he was safe, he decided to put his motorcycle in an area where he could conceal it in trees, but the plane was able to tell the guys on the road," Hickey said.

Corbett was charged with 10 counts, including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fleeing from police, using unauthorized plates and driving without insurance. His motorcycle was seized for 7 days and his license was suspended for 7 days.
