PHILADELPHIA, May 26 (UPI) -- United Airlines and partner Trans States Airlines said they are investigating after a passenger was left sleeping on a flight after it arrived in Philadelphia.

Police and Transportation Security Administration reports said Ginger McGuire was left sleeping on Flight 8080 after it arrived at Philadelphia International Airport at 12:27 a.m. and was found still sleeping by a cleaning crew at 3:50 a.m., KYW-TV, Philadelphia, reported Wednesday.

"We are working closely with our partner Trans States to investigate the cause and remedy the situation with the customer," a United Airlines statement said.

A Trans States representative said it is standard procedure for crew members to make sure every passenger safely exits the plan after a flight.
