INDIANAPOLIS, May 6 (UPI) -- Indianapolis police said an allegedly intoxicated Southwest Airlines passenger was booted from her flight before takeoff for disrupting pre-flight instructions.
Police said Flight 187 to Denver was preparing for takeoff Wednesday at Indianapolis International Airport and had to return to the gate at 9:53 a.m. to remove Laura Huser, 51, The Indianapolis Star reported Thursday.
Police said Huser, reported to have bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, was described by flight attendant Sharon Mateer as "loud and disruptive" during pre-flight instructions.
"Let's get this over with," Huser was quoted as saying.
Police said it took three checkpoint officers to put handcuffs on Huser.
She was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. She was booked at Arrestee Processing in Indianapolis.
