WASHINGTON, April 23 (UPI) -- Six years after telling Sen. Patrick Leahy to "(expletive) himself," former Vice President Dick Cheney is amused about ripping the Vermont Democrat.
Cheney uttered the vulgarity in 2006, when Leahy approached him on the Senate floor to discuss the vice president's ties to military contractor Halliburton.
During a Thursday appearance by Cheney on his radio show, conservative pundit Dennis Miller praised him for "almost kicking Patrick Leahy's ass."
That elicited a chuckle from Cheney.
"You'd be surprised how many people liked that," Cheney followed up. "That's sort of the best thing I ever did."
