Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio, March 30 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio said a car chase that started with a failure to signal ended with a fleeing suspect being arrested after scaling a fence into a prison yard. Garfield Heights Police said Ricky Flowers, 20, led police on a chase reaching to speeds of more than 90 mph when officers attempted to pull him over for failing to signal and the suspect and three passengers abandoned the car to flee on foot at The Northeast Pre-Release Center for Women, WJW-TV, Cleveland, reported Tuesday. Advertisement Passengers Mitchell Byers, 19, and Lamar Sullins, 19, were captured after attempting to flee down a dead-end alley and Gabriel Huston, 20, was subdued by Taser-wielding officers from another department while trying to climb a fence into the facility. Flowers managed to make it over the fence but police said he may not have been expecting what he found on the other side. "He ended up in the prison yard," Capt. Robert Sackett said. He said an alarm brought officers to the yard. "He was apprehended. He had no where to go. It was a little easier to get in than get out, apparently," Sackett said of flowers. Advertisement Flowers, who along with his passengers faces charges including fleeing and eluding and obstructing justice, told police he sped off rather than pull over because he was driving on a suspended license.
