NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 23 (UPI) -- Police in Illinois said a woman arrested after an altercation with a taxi driver called 911 from jail to say she was "trapped" in the facility.

Cmdr. Mike Anders of the Naperville police said Carly Houston, 29, of Chicago, was arrested early Sunday morning after her taxi driver asked her for specific directions to her intended destination and she allegedly "yelled, screamed, cursed and extended (both) middle fingers at the cab driver and threatened bodily harm" against him, the Naperville (Ill.) Sun reported Tuesday.

The driver pulled over at a BP gas station, where witnesses were "alarmed and disturbed" by the passenger's behavior, Anders said.

Houston was arrested after police arrived and she refused to pay the taxi fare.

However, Anders said Houston incurred further charges at the police station when she used an allowed phone call to dial 911 and report she was "trapped inside the detention facility."

She was charged with misdemeanor charges of making a false 911 report, theft of labor or services, criminal trespass to land and disorderly conduct.

Healthcare bill signing a 4-letter word

WASHINGTON, March 23 (UPI) -- On a day that was da bomb for President Barack Obama's administration, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden dropped the f-bomb during the healthcare bill signing.

"This is a big f-----' deal," Biden whispered into President Barack Obama's ear and was picked up by a very sensitive microphone, The Hill reported.

Biden introduced Obama during the ceremony at the While House.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs apparently agreed with Biden's sentiments, though, posting, "And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right," he posted on his Twitter account.

Burglar cooks meal, passes on the cash

HILLSDALE, N.J., March 23 (UPI) -- Police in New Jersey said a burglar who broke into a restaurant to cook and eat dinner was apparently not hungry for cash.

Hillsdale police said someone entered the Matsu Sushi Grill by breaking an exhaust fan in the back of the eatery early Saturday morning and made a meal, The Record of Bergen County (N.J.) reported Tuesday.

"He just wanted food, that's it," Detective Robert Francaviglia said. "He went in and pulled out a plate, got some chicken out of the freezer, got a rice box and fried up the chicken and rice in the frying pan. After he ate, he left."

Francaviglia said the burglar didn't touch $200 left in the cash register overnight.

He said police are looking into a possible connection with a similar incident late last year at a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

"It could be related," Francaviglia said. "It could be a homeless person looking for food."

No names on Mass. town's ballots

HAWLEY, Mass., March 23 (UPI) -- Officials in a small Massachusetts town said a deadline passed without a single resident filing to run in the May 3 election.

Hawley Town Clerk Cyndie Stetson, 62, who also serves as a justice of the peace and a notary in addition to substitute teaching, said the March 15 deadline passed without anyone submitting the required 25 signatures to run for positions including selectmen and a tree warden in the town of 336 residents, The Boston Globe reported Tuesday.

Stetson said the town will vote write-in only May 3, with candidates needing at least two votes to win. She said the winners must then accept the position.

"It's no big deal to us,'' Stetson said.
