MOUNT WASHINGTON, Pa., March 17 (UPI) -- Pennsylvania police said they arrested a man who allegedly broke into a stranger's home and climbed into bed with him.
Police in Mount Washington said a man called 911 early Wednesday morning and said he was using an aluminum baseball bat to keep a burglar from fleeing, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Wednesday.
The resident, who was not named, told officers who arrived at 5:30 a.m. that he had felt someone climb into bed with him and said his girlfriend's name, thinking she was the one joining him.
However, he said he was shocked to hear a deep voice respond: "No it's not."
Investigators said the doors to the apartment building and the resident's dwelling had been forced open.
Michael Karanja Kamau, 33, who police said appeared intoxicated but aware of his actions, was arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal mischief, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported. He allegedly told police he broke into the residence because he was cold and wanted to warm up.
