JUAREZ, Mexico, March 9 (UPI) -- A 22-year-old woman convicted of drug smuggling was named Miss Captive Beauty 2010 during a beauty pageant at a Mexican prison.

Juarez municipal officials said the pageant, named Belleza Cautiva, translating to Captive Beauty, was organized at the Cereso prison as part of celebrations surrounding Monday's International Women's Day and was won by Cecilia Juarez, 22, the El Paso (Texas) Times reported Tuesday.

Juarez, who is awaiting sentencing on the drug trafficking conviction, beat 14 other entries by a unanimous decision from the judges.
