NEW YORK, March 3 (UPI) -- A New York woman's lawsuit against a wig store claims a falling mannequin head injured her foot and her husband's suit says his sex life suffered as a result.
Germaine Bowman McDonald, 40, said in her city Supreme Court lawsuit that a plastic mannequin head fell while she was trying on a hairpiece at Baobob and the object caused serious nerve damage in her foot.
"It just doesn't seem to be healing," said Kenneth Wilhelm, a lawyer for Bowman McDonald. "At this point she can't make a fist with her toes. I've been doing this for 40 years and I don't recall anything like this."
The suit alleges negligence on the part of Baobob for failing to keep the premises "free of dangerous, hazardous, unsafe, traplike and defective conditions."
A separate claim against the store filed by Bowman McDonald's husband, Dean McDonald, claims his wife's injury has damaged his sex life.
