LEIGH-ON-SEA, England, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Police in a British town said they were searching for a one-armed man accused of stealing a single cufflink from a jewelry shop.
Investigators said staff at CJ Vinten in Leigh-on-Sea, England, reported a suspicious white, balding man entering the store, the Daily Mail reported Monday.
"It wasn't until we watched the (closed-circuit TV) we saw he had an empty sleeve tucked in his pocket," store manager Sally Ann Manthorp said.
Police said the stolen cuff link was worth more than $187.
"A man fitting the same description was acting suspiciously in other shops so jewelers in the area have been alerted. We hope members of the public will help us identify man so we can speak to him," Constable Steve Wells said.
