MOSCOW, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Moscow city officials said they are investigating the source of a hardcore pornography clip shown on an outdoor advertising screen in the city.
City officials said Friday the pornographic film clip, which set off a traffic jam on a downtown road, was displayed on the advertising screen beside Garden Ring road about midnight Thursday, RIA Novosti reported.
"We have received an inquiry and will look into it," an advertising committee member said.
The advertising company that owns the board, 3Stars, called the incident an "attack against our company" by hackers.
"There was a hacker attack as a result of which a commercial was replaced with an obscene video in the control computer," commercial director Viktor Laptev said. "It is unclear whether it was an act of hooliganism or competitors' intrigues."
