NUNEATON, England, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Residents of a housing estate in Nuneaton, England, said they were shocked to find a herd of 15 cows traveling down local roads, denting cars along the way.
Nuneaton resident Paul Toon, 50, said the cattle went on a rampage through St. Nicholas Park Estate, tearing up gardens and knocking over bins, the Daily Mail reported Friday.
"It was very scary. I heard a rumbling sound like thunder then suddenly a wall of black and white came charging past the house," Toon said of the recent incident.
"They seemed almost organized. They went from one garden to the next, ripping up flowers and even looking in the front windows."
"The cows dented my new Audi which will cost hundreds to repair. They came out of nowhere. Luckily no one was hurt," offered another resident, whose identity was not released.
The cows escaped from a nearby Warwickshire County field and were soon returned to their home after being corralled by local residents and police, the Mail reported.
