DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- An Iowa man who got into a scuffle with a store worker after allegedly trying to steal Visine eye drops has been charged with second-degree robbery, police say.

William Lloyd Sandstrom of Des Moines was being held on $10,000 bond after being arrested him at a Hy-Vee Food Store Tuesday afternoon, police in Polk County said, the Des Moines (Iowa) Register reported.

When officers arrived, Sandstrom had bloodshot eyes, a red complexion and "an attitude," police said.

The employee accused Sandstrom of putting a bottle of Visine into his coat and attempting to leave the store without paying, police said. While trying to leave the store, Sandstrom allegedly threw the Visine and pushed the employee, who injured her hand while attempting to stop him, the Register reported. Other employees grabbed Sandstrom, police said.

Sandstrom denied doing anything wrong. The Register reported he has been arrested seven times in the past 14 months.
