GEORGETOWN, Ky., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- A tanker truck carrying 7,000 gallons of Canadian Club whiskey overturned in Kentucky, spreading liquor across the road, authorities said.

Jack Donovan, Scott County emergency management director, said the truck, which was heading for the Jim Beam distillery in Frankfort, Ky., overturned at about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 460 when the driver veered off the side of the road, the Lexington (Ky.) Herald-Leader reported.

Donovan said the truck was leaking whiskey onto the road from two punctures. Cleanup crews did not have an estimate for how much whiskey spilled onto the road.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash, the report said.
