Event mixed haunted house, strippers

CHICAGO, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A Chicago adult entertainment venue hosted "Night of the Stripping Dead," an adult show with a Halloween theme.

Paul Siegel, creator and major owner of the Statesville Haunted Prison in Crest Hill, Ill., said "Night of the Stripping Dead" at the Admiral Theater was sponsored by the prison along with a troupe of Chicago Zombie actors and radio station Q101, the Joliet (Ill.) News-Herald reported Friday.

Siegel said the Oct. 14 event was a cross between a strip show and a haunted house, with scares mixed in among the exotic dancing performances. He promoted the Statesville Haunted Prison during the Admiral Theater event.

"Because we're an adult haunted house, we're trying in a down market and a depressed market to do what we can to attract customers to our haunted house," Siegel said.
