MILWAUKEE, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- The largest private mausoleum in Wisconsin will open to the public this weekend as part of a beer barons tour, a Milwaukee cemetery has announced.
President Thomas Kursel of Forest Home Cemetery says visitors can tour the Blatz family mausoleum beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Built in 1896, the Blatz mausoleum was constructed of 525 tons of granite and features an interior of Italian marble.
Permanent residents include the remains of Valentin Blatz and his wife.
Other beer barons on the cemetery tour include Schlitz, Krug, Best, Pabst and Falk.
