ANTIOCH, Calif., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Authorities said a California woman allegedly dragged a police officer about 90 feet when she was pulled over in a stolen car.

Police said an officer stopped Amy Fiasconaro, 25, of Antioch, Calif., at about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday and discovered while talking to Fiasconaro that the registration she produced did not match the car, the Contra Costa (Calif.) Times reported Thursday.

Fiasconaro allegedly tried to speed away with the officer's arm still in the window. The officer managed to pull the car's emergency brake after being dragged for about 90 feet. The woman attempted to flee on foot but the officer, who suffered minor injuries from being dragged, chased her down and placed her under arrest.

Police said they discovered the car being driven by the woman had been reported stolen in Concord, Calif.

Fiasconaro was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer, auto theft, possession of stolen property, probation violation and possession of burglary tools.
