NEW YORK, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Passersby flock to a New York meatpacking district hotel allegedly to see exhibitionist scenes from patrons' windows, a Parks Department worker said Tuesday.
The New York Post reported the Standard Hotel, which straddles High Line Park in Manhattan features huge windows in its rooms, where guests are allegedly having sex for onlookers to view.
"I think it's healthy and fun -- it's flirtatious," said Aaron Lipman, a Harlem resident.
Families and local businesses object to the activity. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn stepped in, and the hotel said it would try to be more sensitive.
"We will make a concerted effort to remind guests of the transparency of the guest windows," the Standard's management said in a statement.
