NEW YORK, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Chris Chaplauske carries on a time-honored tradition of trying to make money on the streets of New York in an unusual way, selling bad advice in Union Square.
The 32-year-old advertises his "service" with a sign that reads "Bad Advice $1."
While he was talking to a reporter from the New York Daily News, Chaplauske was approached by 22 year-old Sarah Samuels.
"I'm moving to Ecuador next Friday," she said. "Do you have any suggestions?"
"When you're packing, pack as much drugs as you can," he answered. "And make sure you put your name on your bag."
Samuels handed him a dollar bill and kept walking.
He said he figures he is giving people the same thing for a dollar that big shots in government, finance and industry pay big money for.
