REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Student identification cards issued this week with the name of the school and its town misspelled are only temporary, school officials said.

Principal Ed Johnson of Reynoldsburg High School said the IDs, which omit the "y" from Reynoldsburg, are only to be used by the students until permanent IDs, using pictures taken this week, are delivered to the school, The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported Thursday.

Johnson said the error was made by Lifetouch, the photography service contracted by the school.

Lifetouch spokeswoman Sara Thurin Rollin said the company has assured the school everything will be properly spelled on the permanent IDs, which are expected to be delivered within a few weeks.
