Brooklyn resident Michael Littlejohn said he refuses to surrender his replica rifle to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the city's police department because he considers the historic firearm completely legal, The New York Daily News said Wednesday. Advertisement "This is the last legal gun that you can have without registration in New York," Littlejohn said. "And yet Mayor Bloomberg is driven crazy by my flintlock gun -- the one that won the American Revolution." Police were alerted to Littlejohn's rifle after the Revolutionary War buff accidentally left a receipt for the $825 firearm at a copy center, the Daily News said. While the police department is willing to let the matter drop if Littlejohn simply applies for a gun license, the 50-year-old said he would prefer to fight for his gun rights in court.
