Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind., July 24 (UPI) -- A custodian in Clark County, Ind., is facing two class D felony counts for allegedly urinating on a court reporter's chair, court documents say.
The (Louisville, Ky.) Courier-Journal said Friday Clark County Government Building custodian Stephen L. Thompson, 58, stands accused of emptying his bladder on a county circuit court chair, possibly on more than one occasion.
Authorities allege in a Clark Superior Court probable cause affidavit that a circuit court employee complained on July 15 of wet chair in the courtroom.
The complaint led to the installation of a hidden camera that later allegedly captured Thompson purposefully urinating on the chair.
Jeremy Mull, chief deputy prosecutor for Clark County, told The Courier-Journal the attempted battery by body waste case was definitely unique.
"I have never encountered a case similar to this one," Mull said of the charges against Thompson, who faces up to three years in prison per felony charge if convicted. "It is very much out of the ordinary to have someone urinating on someone else's chair."
