SANTA ANA, Calif., July 11 (UPI) -- Authorities in Orange County, Calif., say any county residents required to take traffic classes can soon attend comedy traffic schools instead.
The Orange County Register reported Thursday that the county Superior Court has contracted with a new provider that offers comedy traffic schools and online courses along with traditional traffic classes.
Included in the options that will be available starting in August is the Comedy for Less Traffic School, Pizza 4U Great Comedians Traffic School and the Great Comedians Traffic School.
The new offerings put Orange County on par with a number of other California counties already offering such traffic class options.
The comedy school offer a more amusing take on refreshing drivers on the rules and procedures related to driving compared with the traditional classes.
The Register said judges order people to attend traffic classes after they have committed certain traffic violations such as driving more than 25 mph over a posted speed limit.
