Mystery pumpkin carver haunts neighborhood
Tuesday, November 3
SEATTLE, July 10 (UPI) -- Residents of a Seattle neighborhood said they have discovered a section of curb that was painted red without a "no parking" sign was not the work of the city.
One resident said the red curb baffled the neighborhood for months until a parking enforcement officer revealed the truth, KOMO-TV, Seattle, reported Friday.
"She told me its perfectly legal to park there, you won't get a ticket," the resident said.
Seattle officials said homemade no-parking zones are nothing new for the city.
"Every other month we'll receive a complaint from a nearby business or resident that a no parking restriction has been created overnight and no one understands why," said Rick Sheridan of the Seattle Department of Transportation.
