AURORA, Ill., July 7 (UPI) -- An Illinois woman told police her car was covered in barbecue sauce and pickles on two consecutive nights.
The 23-year-old Aurora woman, who was not identified by police, told investigators that her 2001 Chevrolet Impala was first covered in condiments July 1 while it was parked in the driveway outside of her family home, the Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday.
The woman told police she cleaned her car the next day and moved it to a different part of the driveway, where it would be shielded from view by a family member's car, but she emerged from her house at 3 a.m. to find the car again slathered in barbecue sauce and pickles.
Kane County sheriff's police said the car's finish was not damaged by the food vandalism.
The victim told investigators she believes the sauce and pickle attacks were the work of a woman who is interested in the victim's boyfriend.
