Seattle museum features yucky exhibit

SEATTLE, May 24 (UPI) -- A new exhibit at Seattle's Pacific Science Center aims to gross out children, and it does, attendees avow.

The Seattle Times reported Sunday the exhibit that opened Saturday -- "Animal Grossology" -- allows children to dip their hands into dark, covered boxes to identify the skin-crawling substances inside.

"I love this exhibit and think it's pretty cool, because it has gross stuff and gross is what I like," said 8-year-old Patrick Miles of Monroe, Wash.

The Times noted adults, too, enjoyed the exhibit, which is based on a book in the Grossology series by Sylvia Branzei.

Michael Ma of San Francisco made falling-bomb sounds as he pushed a plastic-encased hairball through the digestive tract of a cat illustration.

"I can't wait 'til we have a kid," Michael Ma told his wife Stephanie.
