Police: Naked burglar sought Jen Aniston

EDMONDS, Wash., May 20 (UPI) -- Police said a man who broke into at least two Washington state homes early Saturday and took off his clothes said he was looking for actress Jennifer Aniston.

Investigators said a 15-year-old Edmonds, Wash., girl was awakened early Saturday morning by the allegedly drunk 35-year-old Bremerton man, who proceeded to remove his clothes and tell the girl he was looking for the TV-turned-movie star, the Everett (Wash.) Herald reported Tuesday.

Police said the girl, who was not injured, forced the man out of her bedroom and called police. He was arrested outside of the home at about 6:30 a.m.

Snohomish County deputies said there were two other break-ins that morning in the same area. They said the residents of one of the homes described the intruder who entered their house at about 5:15 a.m. as a naked man. They identified the man arrested as the intruder, investigators said.

The man was taken to the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary and indecent exposure. The police report did not say why the man believed he would find Aniston in Edmonds.

Woman fought robbers with chili, broom

TAZEWELL, Tenn., May 20 (UPI) -- Authorities in Tennessee said a woman whose home was invaded by two men "fought them off" with a bowl of chili and a broom.

Capt. David Honeycutt of the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department said Wanda Bray, 58, discovered the two men in her home at 6 p.m. Tuesday and the pair demanded she hand over medication, the Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel reported Tuesday.

"They probably got away with some blood pressure pills," Honeycutt said.

However, he said Bray did not react peacefully to being robbed.

"The woman fought them off," he said. "She threw a bowl of homemade chili and got after them with a broom."

Claiborne County Sheriff David Ray said authorities found a vehicle near the scene that had been used last week during a robbery at a Tiger Mart convenience store.

Fabian Moore, 32, and Tommy Wayne Garrett, 24, were charged in the home invasion as well as aggravated robbery for the Tiger Mart incident. Samuel Partin, 30, was arrested for allegedly serving as the getaway driver for the home invasion incident.

Police: Woman, 78, shattered hubby's groin

LYNNWOOD , Wash., May 20 (UPI) -- Police in Washington state said a 78-year-old woman allegedly attacked her husband, causing broken ribs, a fractured wrist and a shattered pelvis.

Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Valerie Shapiro said the Lynnwood woman, whose name was not released, told police she struck her 84-year-old husband with a bowl and metal pipe because she believes he was unfaithful several times over the course of their marriage, the Everett (Wash.) Herald reported Tuesday.

Shapiro said police also confiscated the woman's diary, which allegedly had an entry reading: "I beat him again."

The entry described the woman's feelings while attacking her husband with a carpet sweeper and a knife.

"I told him it would be worth going to jail just to watch him bleed to death," the diary reads.

Court documents quote a witness as saying the woman boasted about kicking her husband in the groin during the past six months because of an affair he allegedly had 35 years ago.

China destroys sex amusement park

BEIJING, May 20 (UPI) -- China's first sex amusement park -- with statues of giant genitals -- has been bulldozed before even opening its doors, authorities in Chongquing said.

Love Land, due to open in October, was demolished last weekend after Chinese authorities discovered the park planned a photo gallery on the history of sex, naked human sculptures and giant replicas of genitals, CNN reported Tuesday.

The park on the banks of the Yangtze River was "vulgar, ill-minded and misleading," Chinese officials said in ordering its destruction.

Park manager Lu Xiaoquing told China Daily he modeled Love Land after a sex park in South Korea that featured sex-technique workshops to help adults "enjoy a harmonious sex life," Lu said.

"Sex is a taboo subject in China, but people really need to have more access to information about it," Lu said, noting his park was "for the good of the public."
