OAK PARK, Ill., May 13 (UPI) -- Illinois-based toy giant Ty Inc. has released a fresh litter of Beanie Babies based on President Barack Obama's Portuguese water dog, Bo.
The Oak Park company's original $4.99 Bo the Dog Beanie Babies sold out within hours of their mid-April release, leading to Tuesday's release of the Bo Beanie Babies 2.0 version for the same price along with a larger version for $9.99 and $2.99 Bo key chains, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Wednesday.
Additionally, a miniature pet Bo comes with each of Ty's Marvelous Mariah and Sweet Sydney dolls, which were originally named Malia and Sasha after the first daughters, but were renamed in February after first lady Michelle Obama objected.
