FORT WORTH, Texas, May 6 (UPI) -- Authorities in Fort Worth, Texas, said an unidentified man left syringes, empty baggies and objects that could be amphetamine capsules at a court building.
City Marshal Jesse Hernandez said the man left the Fort Worth Public Safety and Courts Building quickly Monday after placing the items in a container at the security checkpoint to enter the building, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Wednesday.
Hernandez said the suspect also left his black leather belt behind.
"He's welcome to come to the police property room and claim his property," the city marshal said.
He said the man was not the first to pull out drugs in front of security at a public building.
"It's not frequent, but I know of at least one case when someone was coming in, I think at City Hall, and actually put a bag of marijuana in the container and said, 'Oops,'" Hernandez said. "We arrested that person and put (him) in jail."
