

WELLESLEY , Mass., May 5 (UPI) -- The governments in the Massachusetts towns of Wellesley and Newton said the top dog names in their villages are Bailey and Lucy, respectively.
Lists compiled from license registrations filed with the local governments show 38 dogs named Bailey in Wellesley and 33 dogs named Lucy in Newton, the Boston Globe reported Tuesday.
Among the 2,702 dogs registered in Wellesley and the 1,999 in Newton are several with name counterparts in the other village, including Red Sox-themed names like Fenway, which is sported by 10 dogs in Wellesley and three in Newton, and three dogs in each town named Remy for Red Sox broadcaster and former player Jerry Remy.
The New England Patriots are represented in both towns, with nine dogs in Wellesley and seven in Newton named for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Other dog names appearing in both towns include Woody, Arlo, Dylan, Snoopy, Emmy, Bentley, Stella and Bear.
