BOSTON, April 7 (UPI) -- Boston police said they have recovered a bronze duckling reported stolen from a tribute to Robert McCloskey's children's book, "Make Way for Ducklings."

Investigators said Pack, the second-to-last remaining duckling of the statue's original eight, was noticed missing by a park ranger Monday at the Public Garden and was later discovered four blocks from the sculpture, The Boston Globe reported Tuesday.

Police did not give specific details of the bronze duckling's recovery.

The Make Way for Ducklings sculpture was created in 1987 by Nancy Schon.
