MIRAMAR, Fla., April 5 (UPI) -- A South Korean national says the mission of peace that led him to bicycle through 171 countries has left him with a sense of global unity.
Okwhan Yoon, 47, said while visiting Miramar, Fla., that whether he's biking along dirt roads or paved highways, his message of world peace and mutual understanding remains the same, The Miami Herald reported Sunday.
''I can close my eyes and picture different parts of the world and feel that we are all family," said Yoon, who yearns for peace between his native land and neighboring North Korea.
''When Korea is finally reunited it will be a great step toward world peace. Understanding one another forms a deep connection from heart to heart, society to society.''
Yoon, who speaks seven languages, began his bicycle journey for peace in July 2001 and intends to continue his global trek until he reaches 192 countries, the Herald said.
