HOUSTON, March 20 (UPI) -- A Houston woman who was photographed in her wedding dress as she was being carted away to jail on a public intoxication charge has filed an official complaint.

Jade Puckett, 26, filed a complaint with the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's office after the photograph of her being taken to jail March 14 -- along with her new husband, Billy Puckett, 26 -- appeared on several news sites, the Houston Chronicle reported Friday.

Billy Puckett was charged with driving under the influence. Police said Jade Puckett was charged after she became belligerent.

Puckett said the photograph was like rubbing salt in the wound of her having spent her wedding night Saturday in jail.

"It had turned the best day of my life into my greatest nightmare," she said in her complaint.

She said the photograph was taken while she was sitting in a justice of the peace courtroom by a man she did not know.

"The picture he took of me has been plastered across the media," she said. "They have used my face and picture for the poster child of this sting operation."

Precinct 8 Chief Deputy Constable Phil Sandlin said police will investigate the complaint.
