Man: My wife destroyed marriage over stars

GENOA, Italy, March 19 (UPI) -- A man in Italy says his estranged wife became so immersed in astrology that she let it impact nearly every aspect of their lives together.

The unidentified man alleged he and his wife are now divorcing because her interest in star signs and their meanings got way out of control, the Italian news agency, ANSA, reported Thursday.

''If the horoscope was wrong she wouldn't go out all day or even send the kids to sports,'' the man alleged.

''She made us live according to what the stars said. It started off as an innocent pastime but slowly became an obsession'."

A lawyer representing the man's wife, whose identity was also not reported, dismissed the astrology claims, saying the woman's horoscope interests never impacted her marriage or her children's education.
